Reminiscence

As the wind barged in,
Dust sweeping away dust;
As pearl drops from heaven,
Held me in their tight embrace;
That night, my friend, was a harbinger of morn,
Like you were, to a heart lovelorn;

As the wind barged in,
Broken panes breaking chains of lone;
As heavenly pearls melted on the floor,
Ushering in the warmth of cold;
Your smile, oh! Friend, that my mind’s eye wore,
Was a leap of faith, the sunshine of hope;

As the wind barged in,
Song breaking song;
As thunder struck the red sky,
Like drum rolls greeting dawn;
Your love, my friend, was heart’s solace,
As life carried on.
